ACTUAL CUSTOMER REVIEW: YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE! I was lucky enough to scoop this didge up from Chad before he was able to put it online. It is a one of a kind stick. I've had the opportunity to play many of his instruments and this one was very special, anyone around that tried it out (before I snatched it up) really enjoyed playing it. This beautiful maple didge had me mesmerized from the beginning. The long length and shape of its bell makes for an incredibly enjoyable drone in the key of D, but also responds quite nice to rhythmic playing as well. When you add vocals into the playing, the dissonance happens so easily/smoothly, it gives an incredible range of interesting sounds to make. The wide range of harmonics and dynamic sounds makes this an extremely easy instrument to pick up and play for hours, it definitely has that "feel good" aspect to it. In addition to the immense playability, the aesthetics of this didge don't disappoint either. The satin finish on the maple makes it look very refined and well crafted. The positioning of the wood knots at the bottom near the bell visually resemble eyeballs, which is why I have named this didge THE SERPENT HIPPO! Between the visual beauty and awesome sounds, I'm going to be busy learning what this didge has to offer for quite some time. Sorry not sorry that you didn't have the opportunity to purchase this instrument, YOU SNOOZE YOU LOSE!
