DIDJ NUMBER - 657
When I mess around on this didgeridoo the thing that captures me is the ability to find a clipping point on the overblown and get a blown through instead. It sounds like an advanced technique but actually it's quite easy. That blown through is a nice bass drum for the accents you throw in between and you've got something percussive going on. Other than that it's my typical Alder with a warm clear voice. Tuning changes person to person. I list 'em as I read 'em and this one is between C# and D for me, so I wouldn't use it in a band application, but if you play higher or lower (tighter or looser) than I do it could be bang on for you. You gotta try to know. The tree came off a logging site and the marks from the harvester are there in the wood, telling a story. I filled 'em in and sanded everything nice and smooth. The marks are a feature of it's beauty. It's tragedy is only a sub-plot to the love story it has yet to play out...
