DIDJ NUMBER - 623

This didge is willing to play pretty quick for a Bb, which makes it more useful than many low didges. The vocals are just dirty enough to be interesting. The backpressure is such that it's easy to nudge up into overblowns when ya want. The trumpets are easy and natural. When I first shaped it up I was looking to end up with a B and just ended up a little low which I could change by just cutting the stick shorter, but I prefer to craft first with my eyes and my imagination. I let the stick and the process do much of the decision making and I end up with something that to me represents a perfect result from 'listening to nature'. For this reason I don't care much to re-work something that's already been 'born'. My appreciation for going with intuitive balance rather than scientific tinkering is just part of my style. One thing that makes intuition better is practice, practice, practice. There's also something to be said about natural talents, and although I have no interest in qualifying my talents, I feel comfortable saying that this process just flows through me very naturally.
