DIDJ NUMBER - 375
This shaping is becoming more common in my crafting, no dramatic flare or bulbous bell, just a well engineered bore taper with thin walls up top (1/4 inch) to thick walls at the bell (3/4 inch). This is Ondrej Smeykals influence on my crafting. I want to provide the very finest sounding instruments in the world and I'm so thankful for the opportunities to learn and share with some of the didge scenes top resources. This didjeridu plays incredibly easily for a B, no reason not to rate it suitable for a beginner through advanced. Not at all an air hog as so many low didges can be. As a long instrument it offers those hauntingly low vocals and creeping harmonics yet the carefully crafted taper returns excellent backpressure and response to also make it ideal for fast percussive play. Normally I'd reccomend a D through F for someone who's getting one as their only didge but this stick is well enough rounded to be wholly satisfying. Incredible sounding, capable of playing styles unatainable on higher pitched instruments. It's beauty matches it's abilities with dramatic contrasting fills, beetle tracks, beautiful knots and spalting. The pictures tell the tale.
