I've worked with this dense oak to create an instrument with top end walls thin enough for responsive play and thicker walls throughout the lower two thirds to support and transmit every ounce of power you put into it. The boreshape is formed to create a nicely balanced playability. Matching trumpet. Well matched overblown. Projects vocals well like all my sticks. Nice deep timbre. Concert/Recording quality instrument. Gorgeous Oak with tons of character and a comfortable sanded mouthpiece. No beeswax ever needed on my instruments.
