DIDJ NUMBER - 353

I'm pretty sure this wood is some type of fruit because of it's density, but I wasn't able to tell from the tiny amount of bark on it when I picked it up, at any rate, that yields a very solid feel and sound. It plays more like a D or E than an F. The exterior is epoxied but the bore is treated with pure oils of tung, linseed, and citrus which gives it a tonal richness with a better balance to it's harmonics. The backpressure is ideal and it plays equally well either full tilt with tons of pressure or barely at a whisper. Vocals are great. Trumpets are slightly bright to the drone and the overblown is well matched. Very mature and well behaved. The photos speak of it's appearance. Enjoy!
Jake Duncan came over and we shot some sound sample videos for you to hear exactly what you'll sound like on my didges (if you've got mad talent and devote alot of time to practice). He also made off with that big belled G in trade for a short stack of his new CD 'Sound Triggers Memory' so I'll toss one in with each Jake sampled didge until the stack is gone. For individual copy's of his cd jump over to LAOutback.com and browse their music section.
