Ever since Ondrej came and stayed with me last summer I've been keeping his preferences in mind and allowing them to influence me to craft sticks with characteristics that he would find attractive. This didge and the next one (339) are both good examples of the type of balance, backpressure, harmonics, and projection that he'd be after. I've admittedly made the bells a bit bigger than he'd approve of because I just love the power it adds and my own likes are just as valid as his, so even though Ondrej is a didj GOD, I'm the one in charge of creation here.

This is a big didge for an F, it has a big bore sound and the bouncy action of a constant taper air column. I thinned the walls for incredible response so much that in some areas there are spots of translucency but there is still a very deep timbre and extremely well supported tonal quality. The mouthpiece dimensions I post are inside diameter but outside diameters are also very important because a mouthpiece must be narrow enough to be easily approachable. This mouthpiece has an outside diameter of just 1 7/8 inches which is a little more of Ondrej rubbing off on me. Narrowed mouthpieces are going to be a new mission of mine, if any of you out there have chad butler didges with fat lips for a mouthpiece you can send it back to me and I'll shape it down and re-coat it for free, just to make sure that you can always know that I'm giving you the best I can and that I'll stand behind my work.
