DIDJ NUMBER - 106
This is a didge I made in 2003. I recently got it back from a friend who's going through changes and could use a little extra cash. It was very well taken care of and I feel like leaving it in it's original form rather than change anything about it. If you wish, I can take the gloss finish down to a matte finish like I do all my current creations, and I can take a little extra off the outside of the mouthpiece, but honestly it's good to go just as it is and if left alone it's a document of my work fairly early in my career. Sound and playability? This is a ripper. Fast player. Loud and abrasive overblowns. The trumpets come in super easy. Great backpressure makes a beginner sound like an intermediate and an intermediate sound advanced. It's big full sound makes it ideal for playing alone and sounding like a whole band, or for jammin' along with a noisy mob around a campfire and still being heard. That detail shot shows a chainsaw blaze that I left in place after harvesting this downed wood off a clearcut here near my hOMe.
