DIDJ NUMBER - 578

This is a very interesting didge to me. I've seen Ondrej Smeykal practice isolations on his didges for hours on end. One sound, repeated over and over. Getting to know that movement and that result so incredibly predictably that it becomes a natural language. This instrument brings out that same student in myself. It makes me want to practice isolations, to focus on every individual sound seperate from the wall of sound. This is very heavy for Alder, but not impractically heavy like Eucalyptus. The top end is somewhat thin for lively response. The middle and lower end are thick to contain the power and sonicly deliver with a solid timbre. It puts out exactly what you put in. The player has 100% control. Vocals are crisp. There's a nice pressure fold at the overblown for rhythmic attack. Whether sprinting and screaming in superpower mode or whisperwandering in meditation this didge is solid and grounded. An excellent tool for an artist looking to get serious in honing their talent.
