DIDJ NUMBER - 533

I'm quite pleased with the fact that Ondrej Smeykal keeps one of my sticks with his main quiver of performing instruments. This didge is inspired by another of the sticks in his main quiver. The bore opens up fairly quickly though never opens too large. Vocals are crisp and the volume is surprisingly loud for the bell size. The locust wood is very heavy and dense. The walls are carved very thin in the top end giving a lively response and then the walls thicken throughout the length containing and delivering the power. That's a technique that was first described to me by Frank Thill but Ondrej helped me really understand the application. It pays to have good guidance and inspiration.
