DIDJ NUMBER - 457

This is a surprising piece. I made it just for it's sheer beauty and even though I tried to craft it to sound as good as possible I really didn't expect it to be this good. Normally I avoid bells that don't have a straight clean cut which spits out exactly what a player puts in. Odd shapes like this can create their own effects which can cause them to be one-trick ponies, or to be something less than clean and controllable, but this one really has nice subtleties, beautiful trumpets, and a deep timbre. The density of the Oak contains and delivers the power out of the end rather than vibrate throughout the entire length such as thin walled didges. With the power being contained, it feels much more like a meditative instrument, but when I put it in Jake Duncan's hands he quickly changed my opinion. He can rock it like a rocket and take you for a ride...
