F is for Firecracker! It has an ability to really rock it up. The walls thicken up through the middle and bottom end of the didge to provide support for the power giving it a deeper timbre than you'd expect for a shorter and higher pitched instrument. The topend is also fairly open giving it excellent vocal clarity. The first two trumpets are easy and dependable and the overblown can be played either in a nice balance or cracked open and earth shattering. Check out the close up photos. The checks have been filled with blue and there are scars on it from some machine on the logging site where I picked it up. I kept those scars intact because I love the esthetic interaction of man's affect with nature. Rough and elegant. The mouthpiece is oiled bare wood. The rest of the didge is resin coated for durability and de-glossed for good looks.
