I was building open topend E's with larger mouthpieces for a customer who wanted harmonic and vocal capabilities. This beauty does everything so nicely. The trumpet is just one step up which is uncommon for a vocal didge, and is very easily achieved simply by pressuring up. They can be played bright and loud like every beginner player or can be just touched like the tups of Ed Drury. The overblown is defined yet remains well matched to the fundamental making it possible to work into compositions without irritating my wife. The backpressure is more medium than high, which allows greater control, but is still very easy to play and hold balance.
