DIDJ NUMBER - 356

A very relaxed and competent didjeridu. It has a slightly large bore and fairly long length giving it a really good deep sound. The finish inside and out is 100% pure oils of tung, linseed, and citrus. The oiled bores are not as bright and harsh sounding as the epoxied bores. Both have their place. Oiled is arguably more pleasant and organic sounding, the epoxy bores are for rip and snarl bark out loud. This didj evokes slow play from me but is equally willing to rip it up with percussive playing, it's trumpet being a third above the fundamental makes it musically ideal for intricate compositions. The trumpets and overblowns are both well matched to the fundamental, the vocals project well. The backpressure is high enough for easy play by any level player but not so high as to be restrictive for advanced players looking to get every possible bit of control over their harmonics and subtleties. A very carefully controlled drying process I'm experimenting with has resulted in this piece having no checks or fills at all, which is quite a departure from my love of 'art of the fill', but oil has it's own demands and I continue to experiment and expand my abilities to bring you the very best quality didjeridu possible at very affordable prices.
