This is a big solid low timbre high volume powerhouse of a didge! The madrones have a heavier density and lend themselves to a (clear) eucalyptus type feel and sound.
This one plays very easily and allows fast and fancy play with minimal effort. The overblown note comes very simply and dependably and is well matched to the fundamental volume. The trumpets are easy to hit and that first one comes at an optimal interval. The mouthpiece has a narrowed outside diameter making it easy to approach and comfortable to play. Vocals project very clear and loud.
It's at least as gorgeous as it plays. It's dramatic bell is visually balanced by understated red fills in the checks contrasting yet blending with the red tones of the wood and the natural shapes and figures.
Compares to Rolls or Bently.
