DIDJ NUMBER - 316
This double has two different shaped topends. It's low fundamental is C, then the open topend mouthpiece plays as an Eb. The Eb mouthpiece has it's first and second trumpets both in Eb. Pretty freakin' amazing.
The tighter topend mouthpiece plays as an F. If you look at the trumpet successions above and count the possible notes when played from the the F mouthpiece, it's like 8 notes, um.... that's alot!!!
The intervals are also very fortunate with the open fundamentals 3 and 5 steps above the closed fundamental. Because the sound comes out the second mouthpiece as well as the bell it seems quite loud. Sonically this thing is quite superb, hands down the best double I've ever made.
The mouthpieces are close to each other making this more of a one player didge with mad flanging capabilities rather than a double that's played by two. Doubles are all about flanging anyways.
The photos speak of the grain and aesthetics of this piece.
