A fairly open topend and gentle taper gives this stick a very comfortable backpressure and well balanced playing characteristics. Great vocals and harmonics. Easy first trumpet. Defined but tamed overblown. Solid tone and loud. The wood has fiddleback framed knots and the lower end of the stick is mostly dark accents. Very pleasing to look at.
